New Vacancy: Customer Support Representative

Due to expansion, the position of a Customer Support Representative has arisen within the Customer Support Department at Metrohm UK, Runcorn, Cheshire.

The role would suit candidates with a Scientific background (preferably Chemistry or a related discipline) with some commercial experience. This is an office based role and would consist of a variety of activities to support our field based sales, service and technical teams.

By applying knowledge of our products and service offerings, the candidate will provide first class customer support to our existing and new customers.

The ideal candidate would be confident in handling customer enquiries, be flexible and work well as part of a team. Attention to detail is of upmost importance in this role.


Roles & Responsibilities:

• Coordination of field based service staff within the UK and Ireland
• Processing sales leads and general enquiries.
• Preparing, sending and following up on quotations for sales and service
• Sales order entry & invoicing
• Promoting current offers and promotions
• Renewal and upgrading of service contracts
• Reactive and proactive telephone calls
• Receiving and directing inbound office calls
• Updating and maintaining CRM system
• Working closely with Sales, Service and Technical teams


Must have:

• Experience working in a customer service/administration environment
• Excellent communication skills
• An exceptional telephone manner
• Good level of PC literacy, including Word and Excel
• Good science background, preferably to a Degree level
